Vintage Rustie Weldon Museum Collectibles Shooting Star Series Fiber Optic 19" Porcelain Doll
This porcelain doll has a fibre optic headress feature framing and fanning the back of her head.  The doll is approx. 14" tall and the base is 5" tall.  She is attached to the base with the fiber optics tied cord leading from the base and up the back of the doll.  There is an on/off switch on the bottom of the base but I could not figure out how to open the base to change the dead battery so I don't know if the fiber optics work.  The main picture with the black background looks like the fiber optics have color so I changed the background to blue and you can see they are white and not lit.  There are screws on the top of the base but I didn't want to accidentally damage anything attempting to take it apart.  She has on a pink chiffon and satin gown with sequins and dangling beads and satin pantaloons standing on a pink satin wrapped base.  The doll appears in perfect condition with only a scratch on the back of one shoe which are painted on.  It's impossible to see if Rustie is on her back because the fiber optics going up her body is very stiff and impossible to move.  She has been in storage in an upstairs bedroom closet for over 20 years as part of my mother's extensive doll collection.
