Matthew, a 10 1/2” Seated Porcelain Doll, is part of the 1987 Picture Perfect Babies Collection commissioned by the Ashton-Drake Galleries and created by Yolanda Bello for the Edwin M Knowles China Co. There were 11 dolls in the collection.
Matthew is number 4.
He has a porcelain head, hands and legs and a cloth body. His hand painted hair is light brown and his glass eyes are green.
He is dressed as a sailor in a white jacket and pants with navy blue trim and a red tie. He has a matching hat a with red pompom, and blue and white faux leather shoes, one of which he carries in his hand.
Accessories also include a blue satin-like blanket trimmed with white ribbon. The Certificate of Authenticity for doll number 3443-G and a description of the doll and the artist are enclosed, as is his wrist tag. He is also numbered on the back of his neck.
Matthew comes in his original box and is excellent condition.
The box does have a few marks as noted in the picture.
He is from a non-smoking home and has no odors.
