Vintage 1994 Virginia Turner Little Red Riding Hood Porcelain Doll LE #72/150

Description

Little Red Riding Hood is the first doll created in Virginia Turner's fairy tale series. Her body is made of porcelain & cloth. She has long dark brown hair with brown eyes, her dress is a gorgeous paisley print, with a petticoat & pantaloons underneath. She has on black stockings with red patent shoes. Her hooded cape/cloak is a gorgeous red velvet with paisley print on the inside that matches her dress. She carries a woven basket, which has a fabric polka-dot red basket liner, a jar of jam & a loaf of freshly baked bread. Attached with a red ribbon is a note for grandma: Outer front side says, "Tara Cooper 1994 Age 10", Inside says, "Dear Grandma here is some bread and jam, get well soon love red". She stands 36" tall. Also comes with her original certificate arm tag that is signed personally by Virginia Turner. Doll is also hand signed on the back of her neck, dated, & with her limited edition number. This doll is #72/150. Doll is brand new in her original box; box does show signs of very slight storage wear. Never displayed, just collected. Original retail: 0.
