Soft Close means the door closes slowly and steady to keep the door from slamming.
If you don't understand European hinges please email with questions prior to purchase. This allows you to attain a 3/4" overlay. 3/4" overlay is best explained that on the hinge side the door covers an 3/4" of the stile. This hinge has the same cup pattern as the Blum hinges. That means the holes that fit into the door are in the same place as the Blum hinges so you can replace a Blum hinge with this hinge. Works great and I have plenty in stock. Any questions email me.
