    Description

This auction is for a FRONT DRIVER Door Actuator.  This is fully a non-repairable item when yours goes bad...you have to throw away the old one and replace it with another.  Pretty simple to do, actually.  If your lock doesn't go up and down, then likely the actuator has seized.
    This version ONLY fits the
    FRONT DRIVER
door of all 1971-75 GM full sized 4 DOOR cars (Called the B-body & C-Body Platforms).  They will NOT work in any '71-'75 2-door coupe or convertible, and the wiring connector is completely different for 1976 (see my other auctions for those, or e-mail me).  A list of these cars has been provided, but check to be sure that this item is correct.
    INSTALL:
These are a pretty straight-forward item to replace - Remove the door pads, unbolt the current actuator, disconnect from the rod, and remove the electrical connection.  Reverse directions to install.
    NOTE:
Any units I list for sale are in working condition, and have been personally bench tested.  Details below:
CONDITION:  DRIVER SIDE FRONT UNIT - Fairly clean body.  I bench tested this last week and it has excellent snap action and a long life ahead. The rubber boot, UNLIKE MOST, is not deteriorated to the point where water can get into the actuator body.  That's huge!  :-)  It
may not be leaking but don't take any chances.  I recommend that you put this into a plastic sleeve or spray some rubber-friendly silicone across the boot so that it's better protected for the long haul.  Overall this is a sweet actuator for being 45 years old (Donor sedan was a 1973).
Don't snooze and lose on these....check out my other auctions for more vintage GM actuator units!
